Upon entering our home in central Oklahoma, you will be greeted at the front door by our five Maltese, ranging in size from 12 pounds all the way down to 3 pounds. Some of them are puppymill rescues, some are show dogs, some are retired from show. They range in age from 15 all the way down to puppy. One thing you will see is that wonderful Maltese temperament. I often tell new Maltese owners or those wanting to be owned by a Maltese that they will never use the bathroom alone ever again. They are our constant companions and they go everywhere with us. This is one of the blessings in owning a toy dog! I also tell people that Maltese are just the ideal pet – they do not shed, they do not smell, they are not yippy and they are not nippy. It is my belief that they are the best-kept secret of the canine world!
